Pink Kokeshi Amigurumi, Free English Pattern

My daughter asked me to make a doll Kokeshi Amigurumi to carry the keys (she takes a lot of stuffed animals hanging from a ribbon).

We search in google one kokeshi amigurumi, and she liked a lovely pink Kokeshi. This Pink Kokeshi Amigurumi was not linked to any blog, but it was just the photo (The photo is from Flickr, so I have not linked here).

This Kokeshi is very easy to do and is very cute. The model is from Maria Handmade, a Brazilian girl with great taste, but does not sell the pattern of the Kokeshi.

As this is a very easy model to do (in fact, Kokeshi generally are very easy because most are one-piece dolls), I did what I could.

By the way, I started a blog with all the free patterns and tutorials that I'm finding. It's very visual, to facilitate access to all tutorials and free patterns (lots of amigurumi): DIVERSITIES.

HEAD AND BODY
We started in white, with a magic ring . Traditional Crochet (join rounds , not spiral ) . This is important to remain perfect circles and a good base of support.
1 - . Magic ring with 6 sc (6 )
2 - . 6 inc ( 12)
3 - . 1 sc , inc 1 , repeat to end ( 18)
4 - . 1 inc, 2 sc, repeat to end ( 24)
5 - . 3 sc , inc 1 , repeat to end ( 30)
6 - . 1 in 4 sc , repeat to end ( 36 )
From 7 to 12 - . 1 sc in each point ( 36 )
13 - . 4 bp , Dec 1 , repeat to end ( 30)
14 - . Dec 1 , 3 sc , repeat to end ( 24)
15 - . 2 sc, Dec 1 , repeat to end ( 18)
16 - . Change color to light pink , 1 sc in each point ( 18)
17 - . 1 inc, 2 sc, repeat to end ( 24)
18 - . 3 sc , inc 1 , repeat to end ( 30)
19 to 27 - . 1 sc in each point ( 30)
28 - . Change the color to bright pink, 1 sc in each point ( 30)
29 - . 1 sc in each point ( 30)
30 - . 3 sc , Dec 1 , repeat to end ( 24)
31 - . 1 sc in each point ( 24)
32 - . Taking back loop only of each chain , 2 sc , Dec 1 , repeat to end ( 18)
33 - . Dec 1 , 1 sc , repeat to end ( 12)
Started to fill the body and head. We must ensure that the head is completely round .
34 - . Dec 6 ( 6)
Complete leaving a long end we spent over the last six stitches and put the inner end of the body.

HAIR

The hair is bright pink . It's like putting a helmet on his head. It is also done in traditional crochet .
1 - . Magic ring with 6 sc (6 )
2 - . 6 inc ( 12)
3 - . 1 sc , inc 1 , repeat to end ( 18)
4 - . 2 sc, inc 1 , repeat to end ( 24)
5 - . 1 inc, 3 sc , repeat to end ( 30)
6 - . 4 sc , inc 1 , repeat to end ( 36 )
From 7 to 12 - . 1 sc in each point ( 36 )

The following rows are actually 26 rows sc with a string at the beginning of each row.
I've done 4 rows , but t the length depends on your preferences.
For hair to be more attached to the head ( I like ) in each of the last two rows spaced 've made two decreases.
In another Kokeshi I've seen on the Internet , often the hair is separated from the head at the end , like a mane , but I prefer my version .

BUN
It is made in bright pink color. Crochet spiral (in continuous rounds).
1 -. Magic ring with 6 sc (6)
2 -. 6 inc (12)
3 -. 1 sc, inc 1, repeat to end (18)
4-6 -. 1 sc in each point (18)
7 -. 1 sc, Dec 1, repeat to end (12)
8 -. Dec 6 (6)
Complete leaving a long end for sewing to head.

To make the sides of the kimono fabric have a row of chain stitches in bright and sewn or glued to the kokeshi pink (in my case, is glued with silicone to not notice much).

The hair is attached to the head, and the hair bun is sewn.

The eyes are embroidered in black.  I have painted with red pencils for redness of the cheeks  and the Kokeshi is finished.

The red flower is a row of strings and another row of sc, then rolling them forming a flower.

The result has delighted my daughter (and me too, actually). Hope you like.
